Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six pieces of information fuel the quote request: your gender, birth date, self-assessed health status, tobacco usage, desired coverage amount, and selected term. This is sufficient for carriers to provide rates. Name, street address, and medical history stay private unless you proceed to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The amounts displayed represent each carrier's current quotes for the health tier you indicated. The carrier adjusts the actual premium and may shift your classification during underwriting. These quotes are informational only and don't constitute an insurance agreement or rate guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
You supply your name, and the selected quote is used to initiate an application on the carriers' safety platform. Pausing and resuming is fine, and your signature happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance business (License 0B75129), oversees the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
This varies: carriers differ, the amount matters, and your answers factor in. Some carriers with Immediate-decision programs move fast for applicants who qualify; each quote displays whether exams are required, conditional, or waived for that specific offering.
Is a longer term better?
The ideal term spans the period your dependents would struggle without your income: paying down a home, raising kids, managing business obligations. Extending the duration raises the monthly payment but freezes the premium rate for additional years. The calculator tool enables side-by-side examination of 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year terms.
