No-exam life insurance
What qualifies you for fast-track underwriting, how the process works, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Lots of carriers now provide fast-track underwriting: within certain age and coverage limits, they can issue approvals using your application, pharmacy records, driving records, and other available data—skipping the physical exam. Approvals can happen within 24 hours. This site notes for every quote whether that particular product requires an exam, might require one, or doesn't require one.
What it changes
No-exam approval doesn't skip underwriting; it just skips the medical visit. Answers are verified, and policies based on false statements can be contested for two years after issuance. The carrier can still order an exam or lab work if it spots something questionable; you can decide whether to proceed at that stage.
Who tends to qualify
Typically younger than 60, requesting amounts within the carrier's accelerated limit, with no significant health conditions and no tobacco in the prior 12 months or longer. Some carriers will substitute recent medical bloodwork from your doctor in place of a new exam.
Exams that are needed typically run 20-30 minutes at a location you pick—home or office in the Wildomar region—and cost you nothing. Since good exam results can actually improve your rating tier, don't assume an exam is disadvantageous.
